IObit Advanced SystemCare detected 89 percent of the samples, scoring 8.7 out of 10 possible points. That confirmation paid off one example managed to put numerous executable malware files on the test system. If it detected malware activity, we used a hand-coded tool to confirm that it completely blocked the malware installation. We prefer that multi-threat treatment to the single threat mode, one popup used by Sophos Home Premium (39.99 per year at Sophos), and some others. If multiple alerts happened at the same time, the IObit Advanced SystemCare Ultimate key would display the number of threats, with an option to view details. The popup would also have allowed us to prevent or ignore the threat, but we have always opted for quarantine.
